Warje, 27th November 2023: A staggering financial fraud amounting to Rs. 27,26,000 has been uncovered in Pune, with individuals falling victim to promises of securing medical education admissions through the NRI quota. The fraudulent activities transpired between December 2022 and Sunday, leading to a case being registered at the Warje Malwadi Police Station.

The accused, identified as Jayesh Shinde, Pawan Suryavanshi (Rest. Chikhli), and Rahul Tupere, are now under investigation. The complaint was lodged by a 59-year-old resident of Warje. His daughter aspired for a medical admission, and Pawan Suryavanshi approached him, claiming to facilitate the admission process.

Suryavanshi then introduced the complainant to Jayesh Shinde, who purportedly assured admission through the NRI quota. Over the course of several transactions, an exorbitant sum of Rs. 27,26,000 was transferred online and paid in cash. Despite the significant financial outlay, complainant’s daughter never secured the promised admission.

The Warje Malwadi Police have registered a case based on the complaint, and efforts are underway to apprehend the alleged perpetrators.
