Pune Police Launches Dedicated Helpline For Noise Pollution Complaints
Pune, 15th March 2023: Pune city police department has taken a significant step towards addressing noise pollution in the city by launching a dedicated mobile number for citizens to lodge complaints.
The newly created number, 8975953100, is specifically designed for noise pollution complaints and aims to provide citizens with a direct line to police officials who can promptly respond to mitigate the issue.
According to Retesh Kumaarr, the Commissioner of Police, “Pune citizens can now complain to Pune police directly through the helpline number. Action will undoubtedly be taken against the violators.”
The mobile number is expected to streamline the process of dealing with noise pollution complaints and make it easier for citizens to report incidents of excessive noise in their neighborhoods. It is available 24/7, and citizens can call at any time to report a noise-related issue.
The police have assured citizens that all complaints lodged through the new mobile number will be treated with the utmost urgency and that a quick response will be provided to mitigate the problem. However, citizens are reminded to use the mobile number to report noise pollution only and not for any other emergency.
