Senior Police Officials Join Morning Walk Patrols In Pune To Ensure Citizen Safety

Pune, 15th March 2023: In an effort to increase safety and security for citizens and senior citizens who take morning walks, the Commissioner of Police, Pune City, Retesh Kumaarr, has implemented various measures to prevent crime in Pune City. These measures include increasing police presence at places like railway stations, bus depots, markets, and morning walk areas. Foot patrols and morning walk patrols have been appointed at such places during rush hours to prevent crimes from happening.

As part of this initiative, the Additional Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Officer-in-Charge of all concerned Police Stations, Police Staff, along with officers will visit the morning walk areas to communicate with citizens, resolve their problems, and discuss security issues.

Today, a total of 85 places in 32 Police Stations within the limits of the Police Commissionerate were patrolled between 6 am to 8 am in the morning. Joint Commissioner of Police Sandip Karnik, five zonal DCPs, 28 Police Inspector, 47 Assistant Police Inspector / Police Sub-Inspector, and 222 Police Officers conducted morning walk patrolling. During the patrol, they interacted with citizens who were doing morning walks.
