Pune: ‘Police Officer’ In Uniform Arrested While Roaming Around With Wife

Pune, December 13, 2020: A man allegedly lied to his wife in lockdown that he had become a police officer and to make her happy he used to wear the police uniform. However, his luck ran out as he was caught by the Pune city police patrolling team at exam centre of his wife.

Now an FIR has been registered by Wanwadi police against the imposter, Bhausaheb Mahadev Goykar (25), a resident of Gaurav Pimpri in Thitewadi, Ahmednagar.

According to police, a patrolling team noticed the accused in police uniform. On his shoulder there was the wrong badge of the police, the reason cops doubted him. When he was asked for the identity card, he did not have and on more inquiry, he confessed that he was not a police officer. He had lied to his wife during lockdown that he was selected in the police department.

He accompanied his wife for going to banking exam centre at Ramtekdi and had donned the police uniform.
