Pune: Police Officers Honored With DGP Insignia And Special Seva Medal
Pune, 27th March 2023: Sanjay Kumar, the Director General of Police (Training and Special Squads), has urged police officers to prioritize their well-being and perform their duties stress-free.
Kumar made the remarks during an award ceremony at the Centre for Police Research (CPR) in Pune, where he honored 28 police officers with the Director General of Police (DGP) insignia for distinguished service and 15 officers with the Special Seva Medal for their outstanding service in Naxal-affected areas in Gadchiroli.
Pune Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, Additional Commissioner Rajendra Dahale, Additional Police Commissioner Dr. Jalindar Supekar, Additional Commissioner Ramnath Pokle, and CPR Superintendent Jyoti Kshirsagar were among the attendees.
Kumar emphasized the importance of maintaining good physical and mental health, stating that it would help police officers perform their duties with joy and efficiency. He also commended the police force for their excellent performance, noting that the government had taken notice of their quality service. Kumar urged the officers to continue rendering such good service for the welfare of society.
The Director General of Police Medal 2020 and Special Service Medal winners were also honored during the event. The Director General of Police Medal winners included ACP Rukmini Manohar Galande, ACP Laxman Mahadev Borate (retired), Police Inspector Vaishali Laxman Chandgude, Police Inspector Pratap Vithoba Mankar, Sub-Inspector Arvind Shivaram Chavan, Sub-Inspector Akshay Kumar Krishnat Gord, Assistant Sub-Inspector Prahlad Dattatray Bhosale, Shivaji Gulabrao Shelke, Rajendra Santaji Jagtap, Dilip Sitaram Kachi, Dattatray Dhondiba Shelke, Constable Vijay Uttam Bhong, Constable Manoj Dadasaheb Jadhav, Constable Pradip Valmikrao Shitole, Constable Sunil Babanrao Shinde, Constable Rajkumar Ganpat Barbole, Kiran Dattatray Deshmukh, Krishna Rambhau Baghe, Ramdas Kadam, Vijay Ramdas Kadam, Yashwant Baban Khandare, Amol Jaywant Nevese, Surendra Dilip Jagdale, Mangesh Nivritti Borhade, Deepak Shamrao Diwekar, and Hemlata Srikant Ghodke.
