Pune police organize parade in schools to motivate students

Pune, December 13, 2019: The Pune city police on Friday organised parade at two schools in the city to motivate students and also to bridge the gap between the police and student community.

The students interacted with the police personnel and also took selfies with them. They were informed about the functioning of the police department.

DCP (Zone 2) Shirish Sardeshpande along with 150 police personnel guided about 1200 students of St Anthony High School, Solapur Bazar, in Camp and Utkarsh English Medium School. He guided students about police which is for the security of people.

DCP (Zone 4) Prasad Akkanouru and his team were present at St Joseph’s Convent Girls School in Khadki for the parade. A total of 115 police personnel were present to interact with about 2500 students.

Later, Pune Police Commissioner Dr K Venkatesham tweeted, “Pune Police ( constable 2 DCP) reported at 0730AM in 2 schools. weekly parade with police Band. active interaction c students > selfies (with) uniformed persons. Exciting response frm stdnts. Discipline ensures Freedom.

Officials said that the initiative aims to reach maximum students to create a better understanding between police and students, which will also help them in their careers.
