Pune Police Raid Shops In Camp Area, Seize Tobacco E-Cigarettes Worth Rs 2.32 Lakhs

Camp, 21st June 2023: The Social Security Cell of the Pune Crime Branch conducted raids on three shops selling tobacco-based e-cigarettes in the Camp area of Pune.

Acting on information received, a team led by Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav raided the shops located on MG Road on Tuesday (20th June). As a result, tobacco e-cigarettes worth Rs 2.32 lakhs were confiscated during the operation.

The seized e-cigarette products have been handed over to the Lashkar police station for further investigation. Three individuals involved in the sale of these tobacco-based e-cigarettes have been nabbed by the police.

The Crime Branch investigation team included Assistant Police Inspector Aniket Pote, Assistant Inspector Rajesh Malegave, and police personnel Baba Karpe, Ajay Rane, Tushar Bhivarkar, Imran Nadaf, Amey Rasal, Reshma Kank, Kishore Bhujbal, and Omkar Kumbar.
