Pune Police Raids Hotels, Pubs In Koregaon Park; Music Systems Seized
Koregaon Park, 25th November 2022: The Social Security Department has initiated action against various hotel owner-managers in the city. The action was taken against those who disturb citizens by playing loud music in pubs, restaurant bars including luxury hotels in Koregaon Park. A case has been registered by confiscating the sound mixer worth Rs 2.70 lakh from the hotel.
Complaints were received about hotels and pubs in the Koregaon Park area forloud music being played on the sound system even after 10.00 pm. Accordingly, the Social Security Department took action against the Public Restaurant and Bar on Wednesday (23 November) at night.
A sound system worth Rs 2.70 lakh was seized from the concerned hotel. The action was taken against them under the Noise Pollution and Environment Protection Act.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, Additional Commissioner Ramnath Pokle, Deputy Commissioner Amol Zende, Senior Police Inspector of Social Security Department Vijay Kumbhar, Assistant Police Inspector Ashwini Patil, Assistant Inspector Aniket Pote, Rajendra Kumawat, Baba Karpe, Ajay Rane, Manisha Pukale, Anna Mane, Irfan Pathan, Sandeep Kolge, Pushpendra Chavan, Amit Jamdade.
