Pune Police Recover Stolen Cars, Bikes Worth Rs 10 Lakh From Minor Boy

Pune, 5th March 2021: The sleuths from the Crime Branch Unit 3 of Pune city police have detained a minor boy and recovered stolen valuables worth Rs 10 lakh from his possession.

The 17-year-old boy was nabbed in Ramtekdi, Hadapsar, on March 3 based on a tip-off received by Police Sub Inspector Gunga Jagtap. Police said there are 14 cases registered against him.

Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Mokashi, in-charge of Unit 3, said, “We have solved six cases till now. We have recovered one Tavera, one Maruti Alto car, one Baleno car and a two-wheeler besides instruments used to house break-in and some cash”, Inspector Mokashi informed.

According to police, the cases against the boy are registered with Bharati Vidyapeeth police station (3), Shikrapur police station (2), Chatushrungi police station (2), one each at Lonikand, Nigdi, Chinchwad, Koregaon Park, Vishrantwadi, Sahakaranagar and Warje Malwadi police stations.

The action was taken under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ashok Morale, DCP (Crime Branch) Srinivas Ghadge, ACP (Crime 1) Surendra Deshmukh and Senior Inspector Rajendra Mokashi.

The team included Police Sub-Inspector Dattatraya Kale, Sub-Inspector Gunga Jagtap and police personnel Santosh Kshirsagar, Rajendra Marane, Deepak Mate, Eknath Kandhare, Anil Shinde, Machhindra Walke, Ramdas Gonte, Kalpesh Bansode, Sachin Gaikwad, Wilson D’Souza, Nitin Rawal, Kailas Salunkhe, Prakash Katte, Sonam Nevase, Vaishali Kand and Bhagyashree Waghmare.
