Pune police recovers 3 kg gold looted by robbers from IIFL office

Pune, December 8, 2019: Three days after robbers looted 12 kg gold worth Rs 4.2 crores from office of India Infoline Finance Limited (IIFL) office on Nagar road in Chandan Nagar, the Pune City police alongwith Aurangabad and Buldhana police in a joint operation nabbed two robbers and have recovered three kg gold and a car, totally worth Rs three crores.

The arrested persons have been identified as Deepak Vilas Jadhav (32) of Wagholi and Sunny Kewal Kumar (29) of Raviwar Peth. Their two accomplices are yet to be arrested.

According to police, around 10.40 am on Thursday, three robbers walked into the office pretending to customers. One of them whisked out a revolver and threatened the staffs. Later the robbers decamped with 349 ornaments weighing 12 kg by putting them in a haversack.

Police officials said Aurangabad police team led by PSI Amol Deshmukh nabbed Sunny near Aurangabad bus stand on Saturday night. Later Jadhav was arrested in Buldhana.
