Pune Police Rescue Missing 8-Year-Old Girl Within Two Hours After Extensive Search Operation

Bibwewadi, 7th April 2025: A swift response by Bibwewadi Police helped reunite an eight-year-old girl with her parents within two hours of her going missing from the Bibvewadi area on Sunday (6th April) morning. The incident brought immense relief to the distressed family, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the police team.

The girl had been playing outside her home around 7 am when she went missing. After searching the nearby area for over an hour without success, her anxious parents approached Bibwewadi Police Station to file a missing person complaint.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Rajkumar Shinde immediately issued orders to initiate a search operation. Senior Police Inspector Shankar Salunkhe took charge on the ground and dispatched a team led by PSI Ashok Yewale along with constables Sanjay Gaikwad, Rakshit Kale, Datta Shendre, Vishal Jadhav, and beat marshals.

The team began examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas. The girl was spotted heading toward the Yashraj Garden area. Police searched the vicinity and eventually found her sitting and crying under a tree. She was safely taken into police custody and promptly reunited with her parents.
