Pune: Police Seize Liquor During Kasba Peth By-Election Campaign, Launch Investigation

Pune, 16th February 2023:On 16th February 2023, Pune police seized liquor worth Rs 10,000 and detained two individuals during the by-election campaign in Kasba Peth. The liquor was discovered in a car parked near a polling booth in the Somwar Peth area, and an investigation has been launched to identify the source of the alcohol and whether it was intended to influence voters during the election.

The by-election in Kasba Peth followed the passing of BJP MLA Mukta Tilak, and the Congress and BJP, are the main parties vying for the seat.
