Pune Police Sub Inspector Caught Taking Bribe

Pune, 20th July 2022: A bribe-taking sub-inspector of Hadapsar police station was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). The name of the police sub-inspector is Sagar Dilip Poman (34). PSI Poman is posted in Hadapsar Police Station under Pune city police.

The complainant had lodged a complaint in Hadapsar police station regarding fraud in financial transactions. The relevant case was being investigated by PSI Poman. He had demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000, telling the complainant that he would recover the money in the fraud case.

After that, the complainant approached the ACB against Poman. A trap was laid after verifying the complaint. Poman, who took a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant, was detained.

The action was taken under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Rajesh Bansode, and Additional Superintendent Suraj Gurav. Police Inspector Sriram Shinde is investigating the case.
