Pune: Police Take Action Against Xerox Centre For Selling Photocopies Of College Books At Low Prices

Pune, 15th December 2022: TechKnowledge Publications has exposed the practice of selling photocopies of college course books. The publishing house, with the help of the police, raided a xerox centre and confiscated the books along with the material worth Rs 2.16 lakhs.

 

In this regard, a case has been registered against Siddharaj Devaraj Bengali (38), currently residing in Balajinagar, Dhankawadi, Hindu Deva Bharwad (19), and Govind Devraj Bengali (19), both currently residing in Ambegaon Khurd. Sachin Maruti Gaikwad (38), a resident of Balajinagar, Dhankawadi, and legal advisor of TechKnowledge Publications, has filed a complaint at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.

 

 

The accused are originally from Gujarat. Gaikwad has been entrusted with the responsibility of the publishing house to find and take action against those selling photo copies of books.

 

Gaikwad learned that xerox copies of course books were being sold at the Nice xerox centre in Sinhagad college premises. Gaikwad lodged a complaint with the police after he realised this.

 

After that, Senior Police Inspector Srihari Bahirat of Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station, Sub Inspector Varsha Ghogre, along with officials raided the Xerox Center. The police seized items worth Rs 2.16 lakhs, including computers and xerox copies of books.
