Pune Police to Join Clean City Campaign: Commissioner Amitesh Kumar

Pune, 6th February 2025: The Pune Police Department will actively participate in the Clean, Beautiful, and Developed City Campaign initiated by MLA Hemant Rasne. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar announced that, along with maintaining cleanliness in police station premises, efforts will be made to ensure that seized vehicles do not deteriorate and that roadside parking is well-organized.
Kumar lauded the initiative, particularly the study tour to Indore, a city renowned for its cleanliness, stating that it is commendable for a public representative to take sanitation workers on such a visit. He was speaking at the pre-departure event for the study tour.
Under this campaign, a three-day study tour to Indore has been organized, with 200 participants, including 100 sanitation workers. The pre-departure ceremony was held at the Pune Municipal Corporation with enthusiasm. Dignitaries present included MLA Hemant Rasne, Municipal Commissioner Rajendra Bhosale, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, businessman Sudhir Mehta, Cosmos Bank Chairman Milind Kale, Additional Municipal Commissioner Prithviraj B.P, City Engineer Prashant Waghmare, Solid Waste Department Head Sandeep Kadam, BJP Kasba President Rajendra Kakade, and several municipal officers, employees, and activists from Kasba constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Hemant Rasne emphasized his vision of making Kasba the cleanest and most developed constituency in India. “We are taking valuable lessons from Indore this year, but next year, we want people to visit Kasba to witness a clean, beautiful, and developed constituency,” he said.
