Pune, 26th May 2025: In the aftermath of heavy rain and a thunderstorm on 22nd May, three electricity poles belonging to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) collapsed in Nere and Dattawadi villages of Mulshi taluka, disrupting power supply to 18 consumers in the area.

Persistent rainfall caused waterlogging in fields and mud accumulation, significantly delaying restoration efforts. Despite the challenging conditions, MSEDCL engineers and staff managed to reinstall all three electricity poles. By Sunday morning, power was successfully restored to all 18 affected consumers.

However, service cable faults were later discovered at the homes of three consumers. Repair work, carried out by local technicians amid ongoing rainfall, continued till late Monday evening. Officials assured that power supply to the remaining three households would be restored within an hour.
