Pune: Principal Controller (Defence Accounts), Southern Command, hosts grand celebration of Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti
Camp, 20th February 2023: The Principal Controller (Defence Accounts), Southern Command in Pune celebrated the auspicious birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by organizing a grand “Shiv Jayanti” program on February 19. The event was attended by Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (SC), Pune, Dr. Sanjeev Chavan, CMO, and other IDAS officers, senior officers, and employees.
The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Dr. Rajeev Chavan and other IDAS officers, followed by garlanding the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the brave son of India. Other IDAS officers present on the occasion included Pooja Bhat, IDAS, Senior Deputy Controller of Defence Accounts, Swapnil Hanmane, IDAS, Assistant Controller of Defence Accounts, Hrishikesh Konde Deshmukh, Assistant Controller of Defence Accounts, P B Agrawal, Assistant Controller of Defence Accounts, and other senior officers and employees of the office.
Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, Pr. CDA (SC), Pune, the chief guest of the program, expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries present for enhancing the dignity of the event by their gracious presence. He presented a live depiction of many heroic stories on the life and mission of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Dr. Chavan acknowledged that Shivaji Maharaj was a heroic superhero who ensured communal harmony among all religions of India. He was an extremely intelligent, fearless, and efficient ruler, administrator, military strategist, and politician who organized the scattered Marathas elements on the strength of his skill and ability and laid the foundation of a strong Maratha Empire.
Dr. Rajeev Chavan, PCDA (SC), Pune, saluted the strong personality of bravery and advised everyone to inculcate, enrich and imbibe in their personality the components of high thoughts, skill, courage, and valor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He advised everyone to be more aware of their nation, religion, region, society, and duties. Dr. Sanjeev Chavan also enhanced the dignity of the program with his energetic speech. He introduced the might of Shivaji Maharaj and instructed everyone to learn from the principles of Maharaj’s life. He advised everyone to adopt “राजनीति with रणनीति to be successful in each and every Endeavour of our life. Everyone must adopt and abide by the ideas and teachings of Shivaji Maharaj and enrich their lives.
The program ended with the audacious slogans of “Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji,” which reverberated all across the lush green lawns of the Vintage Gothic building built in victorious style in 1864, giving a religious atmosphere and joyous feelings to the show.
