Pune: Prof. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar Award for Outstanding Foreign Student of the Year 2021 Declared
Pune: 30th November 2021: Symbiosis was established in 1971 as an organization (with the motto of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’) for the welfare of foreign students who came to study in India.
The Founder and President of Symbiosis Prof. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar announced the ‘Prof. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar Award for Outstanding Foreign Student of the year’ in 2016 for a meritorious foreign student studying in India. The annual award is in the form of a citation and a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000/- from Prof. Dr SB Mujumdar’s personal funds.
Alikalisy Simwange Aly is the winner of the Prof. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar Award for Outstanding Foreign Student of the year 2021. The award will be presented to Aly at the 18th Convocation of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune that will be held on Sunday, 12th December 2021.
Aly is from Congo and is completing his MBA at Jain University, Bengaluru.
Being in a country far away from family has never been easy for anyone. Alikalisy’s contribution towards international students and his social service towards the students’ community at Bengaluru, aiming at uniting international students together as one family, is commendable.
Starting his journey in Bengaluru back in 2016, coming from a science background, from a French-speaking country with no notion of the English language, to becoming the topper in the field of Management is praiseworthy. He is also a Public Speaking Trainer for his fellow students which align well with his purpose in life of serving others.
