Punawale, 17th January 2024: A resident of Punawale has fallen victim to a fraudulent investment scheme in the share market, resulting in a loss of Rs 26 lakh. The deceptive transactions occurred online between November 18, 2023, and January 16, 2024.

The incident sheds light on the vulnerability of investors in the share market, as fraudsters used sophisticated tactics to lure the complainant. The accused individuals, Anil Sharma and Ashish Shah, allegedly enticed Kulkarni into the Frontline K-4 WhatsApp group, where they shared seemingly credible information about the stock market to gain his trust.

Once trust was established, the accused convinced him to invest a substantial sum of Rs 26 lakh 12 thousand in shares of CHC-SFS. However, instead of executing a legitimate investment strategy, the fraudsters sold the shares and misappropriated the entire amount, leaving him at a significant financial loss.

Responding to the complaint filed by him, the Ravet Police Station (Pimpri Chinchwad Police) has registered a case against the alleged accused, Anil Sharma and Ashish Shah to investigate this matter further.
