Pune: PYC Hindu Gymkhana Announces Statewide Under-16 Cricket Selection Talent Hunt
Pune, 30th November 2024: PYC Hindu Gymkhana, one of the country’s and Pune’s oldest cricket clubs, in collaboration with Doshi Engineers, is organizing an Under-16 Cricket Selection Talent Hunt for aspiring cricketers across Maharashtra.
The trials are scheduled to take place on December 7 and 8, 2024, at the PYC grounds.
Kumar Tamhane, President of PYC Hindu Gymkhana; Sarang Lagu, Joint Secretary of the club; and Amit Doshi, CMD of Doshi Engineers, shared that this initiative aims to identify and nurture emerging cricket talent. Selected players will receive free coaching for one year at the PYC Cricket Academy. They will also have the opportunity to represent the PYC Gymkhana team in various cricket tournaments held in Pune throughout the year. Additionally, the selected players will benefit from free guidance from a physiotherapist, trainer, and dietician as part of their training program.
Players born on or after September 1, 2009, are eligible to participate in the selection trials. Those currently aged 14 and above are encouraged to apply.
