Pune-Raigad Bus Falls into Valley in Varandha Ghat, Four Seriously Injured
Bhor, 15th March 2025: A Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) Bus traveling from Pune to Mahad via Bhor veered off the road and fell approximately 40 feet into a valley in Varandha Ghat. The accident occurred around 3 PM when the bus’s brakes failed, causing the driver to lose control. The bus got stuck in a tree, preventing a more severe disaster.
No fatalities were reported, but four passengers sustained serious injuries, while others suffered minor injuries.
The incident happened in the Mahad taluka area of Varandha Ghat. Local residents and other travelers quickly responded to the emergency, helping to rescue the injured passengers. Preliminary medical treatment was provided at a local hospital in Varandha.
