Pune Railway Division Conducts Special Awareness Campaign Regarding Track Safety In Pune

Pune, 15th December 2022: A special public awareness campaign was organized by the Safety Department of the Pune Railway Division. This campaign was organized between Pune to Saswad Road stations for the people living near the rail tracks and road users.

 

The campaign had a person dressed as Yamraj (God of Death) who went along with the officials and people residing in the surrounding township were explained about track safety rules.

 

The awareness instructions included:

• Do not sit on the tracks.
• Do not cross tracks mindlessly.
• Do not play on the tracks.
• Look for trains while crossing the track.
• Do not cross the track after the gate is closed.
• Small children should not be kept away from railway tracks.
• Do not fly kites on the track.
• Do not play cricket on the railway track.

 

The team also went to Basant Primary and Secondary School Ghorpadi where they explained the same to the children.
The team went to the small settlements nearby, met the people sitting on the railway track, and explained the safety rules.

 

Several pamphlets were also distributed in the area.

 

This campaign was carried out under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dubey and Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh.
The campaign was organized by Divisional Safety Officer Devendra Kumar.

 

Dilip Taiday of Safety Department, Shiv Charan Gosavi, Dhananjay Chandratre, K. G. Karat, Vinay Kumar, Prahlad Fund, Rohit Raut, and several other employees participated in this campaign.
