Pune Railway Division Launches Safety Campaign To Prevent Accidents Due To Fire

Pune, March 25, 2021: To prevent accidents due to flammable materials and explosives in Pune Railway Division, a week-long safety campaign is being carried out. These include railway parcels, pantry cars, power cars and electrical, air conditioning system equipment in other coaches where fire extinguishing systems will be installed.
“Do not smoke” stickers will be placed everywhere. Railways raise awareness not to transport flammable materials by interacting directly with consumers.
Also street plays, public announcement system, stickers, posters, banners, pamphlets at all railway stations Etc. will be seen. Citizens are advised not to travel with flammable materials.
Teams of railway officers and staff have been appointed for this purpose. All of this team will work towards safety by conducting an extensive inspection of trains, stations, station premises, public use places. If shortcomings are noticed, immediate measures will be taken. The railway administration is requesting all consumers to not travel with stoves, gas cylinders, any kind of flammable chemicals, firecrackers, acid on the train.
It is also requested not to smoke while doing so, as doing so will save lives and property damage. Violators may face fines or imprisonment, or both, under railway law. All railway consumers are requested to co-operate with the railway administration so that the journey will be safe and pleasant.
