Lockdown in Pune? Know What Ajit Pawar Has To Say About It

Pune, 25 March 2021: As 10 out of nine districts that are seeing the exponential rise in the Covid-19 patients are in Maharashtra state, deputy chief minister and Pune district guardian minister Ajit Pawar is mulling over imposing lockdown in Pune. Maharashtra like last year is witnessing a huge surge in Covid-19 cases.

Although, lockdown is vehemently opposed by scientists, traders, industrialists and various other segments of the society, Ajit Pawar while talking to media in Mumbai said that after reviewing the situation and talking to representatives the decision of lockdown will be taken.

He said, “Every Friday we have a review meeting with local representatives and the decision about the lockdown will be made after consultation with them. This adversity is for all and no one should do party politics while fighting against it”.

Pawar further said, “We thank the Central government for allowing inoculation of people above 45 years of age, we had made the demand. We will ensure that there is no dearth of funds while treating Corona patients.”
