Pune: Rajan Khinvasara reelected as President of Billiards & Snooker Association of Maharashtra
Pune, 14th March 2022: City based businessman and cue sport fanatic Mr. RAJAN KHINVASAR has been unanimously reelected as the President of Billiards & Snooker Association of Maharashtra (BSAM) at the BSAM AGM and Elections held ar Mumbai. He was re-elected as president for the term 2021-2023.
Besides Khinvasara the other elected office bearers are Mr. Saumil Karkera & Mr. Manav Panchal (Vice Presidents); Mr. Amit Sapru (Jt. Secretary); Mr. Shekhar Surve (Treasurer) Mr. Pranav Chikhal, Mr. Vishal Madan, Mr. Aditya Deshpande, Mr. Rajwardhan Joshi, Mr. Vishal Gehani & Mr. Maulik Merchant (Managing Committee)
Mr. Khinvasara, who is also the President- Billiards & Snooker Federation of India (BSFI); has has been the Title sponsor of 13 National Championships held across India (Year 2006- 2020) & 2 Asian Championships held in India (Yr. 2014 & 2018 & 6 World Championships (Yr. 2007 to 2019)
He has always emphasised on the importance of marketing and branding of Cue sports on Pan India level to tap as much potential from the smaller cities and rural areas and bring in new players/ talent in the forefront and aims to bring this sports the much deserving fame and position on the Indian Sports and wishes see this sport being included in our schools curriculum and in the Olympics.
Amidst Corona Pandemic and prevalent Covid restrictions & limitations then; he and his team managed to end 2021 on an optimistic & commendable note for the Cue-sports Fraternity of India by successfully conducting “The 88th Billiards and Snooker Nationals and 10th 6 Red Snooker”; a 36 days Championship in Bhopal from 24th November 2021- 29th Dec 2021, just before the omicron surge across the country. Continuing this successful feat with the same zeal and determination, we will ensure that the momentum remains intact, exclaims Mr. Khinvasara.
