Pune: Re-Autopsy Of Three Dead Conducted In Mass Murder Case

Pune, 27th January 2023: Of the seven bodies found in Pargaon area in Daund taluka, three bodies were re-postmortemed by the doctors. Three more bodies have been autopsied for further investigation into the mass murder case.
A shocking incident has recently come to light where seven members of the same family who were labourers were murdered for revenge by their relatives. It turns out that the cousin killed them. Five people have been arrested by the crime branch of rural police in this case.
Mohan Uttam Pawar (45), Sangeeta alias Shahabai Mohan Pawar (40), both of Khamgaon, Beed, Rani Sham Falware (24), Sham Pandit Falware (28), Ritesh alias Bhaiya, Sham Phalvare (seven), Chhotu Sham Falvare (five), Krishna Sham Falvare (three), all of Hatola, Vashi, Osmanabad are the deceased. In this case, Ashok Kalyan Pawar (39), Sham Kalyan Pawar (35), Shankar Kalyan Pawar (37), Prakash Kalyan Pawar (24), Kantabai Sarjerao Jadhav (45), all of Dhavale Mala, have been arrested.
The police buried the seven bodies in the Yavat area near Mutha Canal in the presence of relatives. The postmortem of three people was done at the government hospital in Yavat. The autopsy of the remaining four was done at Sassoon Hospital. The government hospital at Yavat had mentioned in the post-mortem report that the three died due to drowning. After that, it was decided to re-post-mortem the three bodies. A team of medical experts from Sassoon Hospital, Tehsildar Sanjay Patil of Daund, Sub Divisional Police Officer Rahul Dhas, Police Inspector of Yavat Police Station Hemant Shedge, and others were present.
The bodies found in the water were decomposed. Therefore, their viscera could not be preserved in the autopsy. A thorough investigation is being conducted by the police.
