Pune: Religious Extravaganza To Mark Ganesh Jayanti Celebrations by Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganapati Trust

Pune, 12th February 2024: Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganapati Trust, the custodians of India’s first public Ganesha, has curated a series of religious programs to commemorate Ganesh Jayanti on Tuesday, February 13. Punit Balan, the trustee of the Trust and head of the festival, has extended a warm invitation to all Ganesh devotees to partake in these auspicious events.

The festivities kick off with a Bhajan program scheduled for Tuesday morning from 8 to 9 am in the precincts of ‘Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganapati.’ Following this, a Ganesh Yaga is planned from 9 am to 12 pm. The pinnacle of the morning celebrations will be Bappa’s Mahaarti, conducted by Lt General DB Shekatkar at 12 noon. A subsequent Bhajan service will be held from 12.30 pm to 2 pm, leading into the Atharvashirsha Pathan program at the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Trust premises by BVI Pune, running from 4 to 5.30 pm and expected to draw a substantial attendance of women devotees.

The evening festivities commence with Shri’s palanquin ceremony from 6 to 7.45 pm, culminating in a Mahaarti to be conducted by Maheshgiri Bapu Maharaj, the head of Girnar Shaktipeeth, at 8 pm.

Festival chief Balan revealed that the day’s events would conclude with a Bhajan Sandhya program organized by Shankar Maharaj Bhajani Mandal from 9 to 11 pm.
