Pune Ring Road: Final Rates Of 618 Hectares Of Land In 32 Villages To Be Acquired For West Ring Road Fixed

Pune, 20th January 2023: To reduce the traffic congestion in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh’s initiative for the construction of Ring Road has gained momentum. The final rates of 618.80 hectares of land in 32 villages in four talukas required for the Pune (West) Ring Road have been fixed and the land owners will get compensation of up to Rs 2,348 crore.

Two phases namely Pune (West) Ring Road and Pune (East) Ring Road will be constructed through the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).

For the Western Ring Road private land in 32 villages, six villages namely Parandwadi, Dhamane, Urse, Pachane, Bebadohol, Chandkhed in Maval taluka, 14 villages of Mulshi taluka namely Kasaramboli, Ambadvet, Katwadi, Ghotwade, Moterewadi, Javal, Rihe, Pimpoli, Kemesewadi, Urawade, Padalgharwadi, Ambegaon, Marnewadi, Muthe, ten villages in Haveli taluka namely Bahuli, Bhagatwadi, Mordarwadi, Mandvi Budruk, Sangrun, Khamgaon Maval, Kalyan, Vardade, Rahatwade, Thoptewadi in the village while two in Bhor taluka nanely Ranje and Kusgaon will be acquired.

The notable thing is that in all these 32 villages, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the concerned Sub-Divisional Officers, Tehsildars, Taluka Deputy-Superintendent of Land Records, and Counting Inspectors jointly counted the land required for the project in the presence of the concerned Talathi and the villagers. Accordingly, the Town Planning Department made a preliminary assessment.

After taking information about the residential, and commercial constructions and trees existing on the said land, this information was placed before the District Level Assessment Determination Committee chaired by the Collector. Accordingly, the committee has fixed the final rates keeping in mind all the provisions.

The total amount of 618.80 hectares of land as per the final rate announcement was Rs 2,348 crore 92 lakh.

Now, in the next phase, the sub-divisional officers have been instructed to organize camps in these villages. At that time consent letters will be taken from the farmers and contracts will be signed. Accordingly, the land will be transferred to the MSRDC after announcing the awards.

Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Collector, said, “The final rates have been fixed keeping in mind all the provisions of the Act to ensure that the affected farmers get fair compensation. As the account holders who give consent letters for giving land for the projecpercentet 25 per cent more amount, the account holders should cooperate in speeding up the project by giving consent letters.”
