Pune Road Rage Incident: Man Brutally Attacked for Confronting Wrong-Way Motorist
Pune, 24th November 2024: A two-wheeler rider was brutally assaulted by a motorist and his accomplices in Ganesh Peth at midnight on Friday. The incident occurred after the rider, Ranjit Kishore Shinde (28), a resident of Ganj Peth, confronted the motorist for driving in the wrong direction. The Khadak police have registered a case against the motorist and his accomplices based on a complaint filed by Shinde.
According to the police, Shinde and his wife were returning home on their two-wheeler after a hospital visit. Around 12:30 AM on Friday, they encountered a motorist riding in the opposite direction in Ganesh Peth. Shinde reportedly pointed out the violation, prompting the motorist and his accomplices to abuse the couple.
The confrontation escalated when the motorist and his group attacked Shinde, hitting him on the head with a hard object. The assault left Shinde with serious head injuries. Following the incident, Shinde lodged a complaint at the Khadak police station. Police constable Parkhe is investigating the case.
