Pune: Robbers Chase Women In Kalyaninagar, Snatch Mobile Phone
Pune, 28th May 2023: On the night of 26th May, three young women riding on a two-wheeler were chased and confronted by a group of youths in Kalyaninagar. The culprits forcibly snatched a mobile phone worth Rs 25,000 from Ankita Singh (21), a resident of Lohgaon.
Ankita promptly filed a complaint at the Yerwada police station, seeking justice for the brazen robbery.
According to Ankita’s account, she and her two friends were on their way home late at night when the incident unfolded. At approximately 11:30 PM, as they were traveling along Vimannagar road in Kalyaninagar, three youths riding another two-wheeler began tailing them closely. In a swift and calculated move, the youths intercepted Ankita’s bike, abruptly stopping their progress. In a matter of seconds, one of them forcefully snatched her mobile phone from her grasp and made a swift getaway. The shocking ordeal left Ankita and her friends in a state of panic, prompting them to raise an alarm.
The case has been assigned to Police Sub-Inspector Swapnali Gaikwad, who is currently leading the investigation into the matter. The police are working on collecting evidence, reviewing CCTV footage, and conducting inquiries to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for the crime.
