Pune: Robbers Loot Jewellery Shop In Supe At Gunpoint, Brave Policeman Catches One Of Them
Baramati, 1st April 2023: A daring heist took place at Mahalakshmi Jewellers in the Supe market ground of Baramati yesterday evening. During the robbery, a gang of four opened fire, injuring three individuals.
One of the gang members, Pawan Jagdish Biswakarma, was caught by a policeman Datta Dhumal, but the other three are still on the run. The arrested individual is a 30-year-old resident of Uttar Pradesh. The injured victims of the shooting include Sagar Dattatreya Chandgunde, Ashok Bhaguji Borkar, and Sushant Kshirsagar. Kshirsagar is a worker at the store, and the wife of the jeweler was also present during the incident.
The robbers attempted to escape when they noticed the villagers arriving at the scene. In an effort to flee, they opened fire around 6.40 pm on Friday, injuring three individuals. After one of the robbers was caught by policeman Dhumal who was at an adjacent salon, the remaining three escaped in a car.
The injured victims were taken to Salunke Hospital for treatment, and an investigation into the stolen valuables and the identity of the remaining robbers is ongoing.
