Vishrantwadi, 8th June 2026: The Rotaract Club of Pune City Fortune, in collaboration with Manasvi Goilkar, organized a school kit distribution drive for underprivileged students at Ekta Nagar, Vishrantwadi, on Monday as part of its Pride Month celebrations.
The initiative aimed to promote the values of love, acceptance, equality and empowerment while supporting the educational needs of children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. School kits containing essential learning materials were distributed to students, helping them access resources needed for their education.
The programme brought together Rotaract members, volunteers, local residents and children in a collective effort to foster a more inclusive and equitable society. Organizers highlighted the importance of education as a powerful tool for empowerment and social change, emphasizing that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream and succeed.
Speaking on the occasion, Manasvi Goilkar said, “Pride Month is a celebration of diversity, acceptance and equal opportunities. Through this school kit distribution drive, we wanted to translate those values into action by supporting children who need educational resources the most. Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow and build a better future, and together we can create a society where no one is left behind.”
Participants described the initiative as a meaningful way to celebrate Pride Month by combining community service with advocacy for inclusion and equal opportunities. The event also reinforced the message that small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact on the lives of young students.
The drive concluded with volunteers encouraging citizens to continue supporting educational and social welfare initiatives. The central theme of the programme was reflected in the message: “Different is Beautiful. Inclusion is Powerful.”
