Pune: Rs 14 Lakh Fraud Under Pretext Of Investing In Crypto Trading, FIR Registered

Pune, 2nd February 2023: Billgrant Singh Sahi, a wallet user, has been booked by the Pune cyber police station for cheating a person by adding him to a group with 1,600 members on the pretext of investing in the trading of crypto currency and accepting as much as Rs 13.76 lakh from him without giving any profit.

Through this crime, it has also come to light that citizens are being forced to invest in the virtual currency of cryptocurrencies through apps like Telegram. Pravin Nanase Rasal (30), a resident of Narhe, has filed a complaint in this regard. The incident occurred online in October 2022.

According to the police, the accused named Singh added Rasal to a group named ‘Reliance Foundation’, which has more than 1600 members. The members of the group were lured to make huge profits if they invest in crypto trading in concert. The complainant was also asked to send 2,60,758 Tron worth Rs 13.76 lakh to the wallet address as an investment by luring him to get maximum profit in a short time by investing in crypto trading.

A case has been registered for cheating him without giving them profit despite sending money.
