Pune: Rs 20 Lakh Fund Announced For 100th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan To Be Held In Pimpri

Pune, 23rd December 2023: State Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has revealed a financial boost for the upcoming 100th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan (All India Marathi Literary Conference), announcing a fund of Rs 20 Lakh. The allocation will be facilitated through the District Planning Committee (DPC), as clarified by Pawar during a meeting focused on planning the milestone theater conference.

The announcement was made in the presence of key officials and dignitaries, including State Industries Minister Uday Samant, Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Chavan, Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakne, Akhil Bharatiya Natya Parishad Pimpri-Chinchwad Branch President Bhausaheb Bhoir, and Pune Branch President Meghraj Rajebhosale.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawar emphasized the importance of providing top-notch facilities for those attending the conference. He encouraged Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporations to ensure that the gathering’s venue meets high-quality standards. The government’s financial support aims to enhance the overall experience of the conference.

During the meeting, Pawar also mentioned that if proposals for the conference are submitted through the MLA fund, they will be duly approved. Additionally, he stressed the need for a well-prepared mandap (venue) for the gathering.

Industries Minister Samant added that support for the conference will also be extended through corporate social responsibility funds.
