Pune: Rs 38 Lakh Transferred From Businessman’s Account, He Says Didn’t Share Any OTP, Password With Anyone
Pune, 26th August 2021: A businessman’s account has been compromised even though he is not using mobile or internet banking. Rs 38 lakh was robbed by unknown cyber thieves.
The businessman from Wakad became a victim of cybercrime even though he was not using the bank app. Also, he did not share any OTP with someone else.
The complainant received a message regarding the deduction of Rs 2.14 lakh on 15th July. He inquired about it to the bank, where he got to know that hackers have transferred Rs 38.4 lakh from his account.
Based on his complaint, an FIR has been registered at Wakad Police station. Further investigation is going on, police said.
