Pune: Rs 4.91 Lakh Fine Recovered From 711 Ticketless Passengers In Trains

Pune, 5th September 2022: A mega ticket-checking drive was conducted on Pune-Lonavala, Pune-Daund, Pune-Jejuri section and Pune station of Pune Railway Division on Saturday. 711 people travelling irregularly or without tickets in normal, sleeper and AC coaches of different trains were caught and more than Rs 4.91 lakh were fined.

The above action was taken under the leadership of Divisional Commercial Manager Dr Ramdas Bhise with the help of ticket-checking inspectors.

 

“Passengers are requested to travel during the journey with proper tickets, or else, they will have to pay a fine under the Railway Act and in case of non-payment, there may be a jail term”, railways stated in a press release.
