Pune RTO to Auction 42 Seized Vehicles Through Online E-Auction on January 15–16

Pune, 14th January 2026: The Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO) has announced a public online e-auction of 42 seized vehicles, which were detained for violations under the Motor Vehicles Act, non-payment of motor vehicle tax, or failure by owners to claim them within the stipulated period.

According to an official release, the auction will be conducted through the MSTC e-auction platform www.mstcindia.co.in on January 15 and 16, 2026. Of the total vehicles, 28 vehicles seized by the RTO’s flying squad and 14 unclaimed vehicles will be put up for sale.

The vehicles will be sold on an “as-is-where-is” basis, and the Deputy Regional Transport Officer and Taxation Authority, Pune, has reserved the right to cancel or postpone the auction if required.

Interested bidders can inspect the vehicles during office hours on working days at various locations, including the Pune RTO premises, Alandi Road office, Balewadi Bus Depot, Kothrud Bus Depot, Ranjangaon Police Station, Shewalwadi Depot, Saswad ST Depot, and Shirur ST Depot.

The RTO has appealed to vehicle owners, drivers, financiers, or any other stakeholders to clear outstanding dues or claim ownership and release the vehicles before the auction dates. Officials have clarified that no objections will be entertained after the completion of the auction.

The notice has been issued through an official press release by the Taxation Authority and the Regional Transport Officer, Pune.
