Pune: Sandalwood Tree Stolen From Premises Of Housing Society, FIR Registered
Wanowrie, 25th April 2022: A sandalwood tree worth Rs 5,000 has been stolen from the Clover Village Society premises in Wanowrie area.
Based on a complaint from a 66-year-old woman, Wanowrie police station under Pune city police station has registered an FIR against three unidentified thieves. The incident took place on April 23 at around 3.30 am.
According to the police, there are sandalwood trees in the premises of Clover Village Society. A protective net has been installed on the wall of this society. The three thieves broke the net to enter the premises and cut down a sandalwood tree.
The residents learnt about it on the next day and when they CCTV footage, three persons were seen cutting the tree.
Police constable PS Thakre is investigating the case.
