Pune: Sarhad Foundation Proposes To Adopt And Enhance 98 Marathi Schools Under PMC

Pune, 22nd March 2025: The Sarhad Foundation has expressed its willingness to implement various Marathi language and literature-related activities in 98 Marathi schools under the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). The foundation has also proposed to adopt some of these schools to support their overall development. The proposal was submitted to Municipal Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale by Sarhad Foundation President Sanjay Nahar.

The foundation, which recently organized the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in New Delhi, has now put forth a plan to enhance the quality of education in 98 Marathi schools within PMC limits. The initiative aims to foster a love for Marathi language and literature among students by conducting various educational programs and activities.

In the proposal, Nahar mentioned that the foundation is also prepared to adopt certain schools to offer long-term support. They intend to provide educational assistance, experienced teachers, and staff, as well as financial aid through donors or government support, ensuring better educational facilities for the students.
