Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University Introduces Separate Cell For Implementation Of NEP 2020
Pune, 17th October 2022: Given the effective implementation of the ‘National Education Policy 2020’, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Vice-Chancellor Dr Karbhari Kale announced that a separate implementation cell will be established in Savitribai Phule Pune University today during the meeting of the University’s Academic Council.
The meeting was held today in the Sant Dnyaneshwar Auditorium of Savitribai Phule Pune University under the chairmanship of Dr Karbhari Kale, Vice-Chancellor of the University. In this meeting, Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjiv Sonwane, Registrar Dr Prafulla Pawar, along with the Principal, Associate Principal, Board of Studies members, Education department officials, and staff were present.
Dr Karbhari Kale said the University Grants Commission and All India Council of Technical Education have given notifications and guidelines from time to time regarding the educational policy. Accordingly, this chamber will be established. Independent directors will also be appointed for this. A ‘Task Force’ will be constituted to implement the National Education Policy. The work of the room will be done as per the guidelines of this task force.
In today’s meeting, the National Education Policy on Multiple Entry, Multiple Exit, Choice Based Merit System, Self and Muks, Open and Distance Education, Interdisciplinary Studies and Internship for Engineering Faculty Degree Course Students, Introduction of Courses in Indian Languages, Indian knowledge system, dual and combined degree courses, professor in practice, research and development room, admission of international students, and other topics were discussed.
