Central Railway Police Force Saves 12 People In Pune Among 62 People In Maharashtra In Last Nine Months
Pune/ Mumbai, 17th October 2022: Due to the vigilance of the Railway Police Force (RPF), the lives of the citizens, who were jumping in and out of the running train and those attenmpting suicide, have been saved. The Railway Police Force, which protects railway property, also pays special attention to the safety of passengers. Central Railway Police Force personnel have risked their lives to save the lives of 62 passengers in the last nine months.
As a part of “Mission Jeevan Rakshak”, Central Railway Police Force personnel have so far saved 62 lives of citizens on Central Railway lines from January to September 2022. Out of these incidents, 24 lives of passengers were saved in the Mumbai section.
14 incidents have been reported in the Nagpur division, 12 in the Pune division, eight in the Bhusawal division, and four in the Solapur division. These Railway Police Force personnel have to deal with various issues such as crimes against passengers and railway property, violence, obstruction of railway trains, the rescue of missing children and seizure of narcotics from railways and railway premises, recovery of passengers’ luggage, and others. While doing this work, due to the vigilance of the RPF, the lives of the citizens who attempted suicide were saved too.
