Pune: Security Guard Murdered On Suspicion Of Having Affair

Kondhwa, 22 November 2021: A shocking case of a security guard being beaten to death by a mob on suspicion of having an immoral relationship has come to light in Kondhwa.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi Kachru Nagdive (50), resident of Nevsemala, Devachi Uruli. His friend Balaji Chavan was seriously injured in the attack. A case was being registered at Kondhwa police station till late at night.

Nagdive was working as a security guard at a school in Uruli Devachi. On Sunday, the two had gone to Yeolewadi to meet their woman friend. At that time, the supervisor suspected that Ravi was having an affair with the woman. Therefore, on Monday afternoon, the supervisor had called Ravi and Balaji to meet him at Yeolewadi.

After reaching there, the mob beat the two with bamboo and kicks and punches. The mob then put Balaji and the two injured in a rickshaw. The accused left them on the road near Undri Chowk and fled. Citizens then rushed Balaji and Ravi to a private hospital in Hadapsar. However, the doctors declared Ravi dead. Balaji is currently undergoing treatment.
