Pune, 26th April 2022: Seeds fall by wayside at D.E.S. Fergusson College AITA Championship series U-18 Tennis TournamentPune, 26th April  2022:   As many as five seeds were shown the door at the D.E.S. Fergusson College Championship series Under 18 Tennis Tournament  organized by Fergusson College and Nandan Bal Tennis Academy Under the auspices of MSLTA and AITA and   played at Fergusson College Tennis Courts.

 

In the girls second round Lucky loser Durga Birajdar registered the biggest upset ousting too seeded JS Sai Shriyaa of Karnataka 6-4, 6-1

State player Pratishtha Saini registered a 6-2,6-4 win to topple second seeded  Mrunmayee Joshi of Maharashtra . Unseeded Shruti Nanajkar kept up her good form to upset seventh seeded Arsheen Sappal  of New Delhi 6-2, 6-0 while Ritika More outplayed eighth seeded Adhira Gupta 6-1, 6-1

In the boys event  Pune boy Anshul Satav carved out the biggest upset of the day overcoming eighth seeded Anish Ranjalkar  1-6, 6-2, 6-1  in the longest match of the day .
