Pune, 4th April 2025: Several parts of Pune district experienced light to moderate rainfall over the last 24 hours, bringing temporary relief from the rising summer temperatures. According to data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday morning, Pashan recorded 21.3 mm of rainfall while Lavale recorded 17 mm.

While the rain offered a refreshing change for residents and improved soil moisture for farmers, it also led to multiple tree fall incidents across the city, especially in eastern Pune.

While the showers didn’t cause large-scale disruption, minor traffic delays were reported in areas like Shivajinagar due to slippery roads.

The unseasonal rain has temporarily cooled temperatures in the city and provided much-needed moisture to farmlands.
