Pune: SET Exam For Assistant Professors To Be Held On June 15; Check Details Below!
Pune, 21st February 2025: The State Eligibility Test (SET) for the recruitment of Assistant Professors is scheduled to take place on 15th June 2025. The SET department of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced that applications for the exam will open on 24th February, urging candidates to ensure accuracy while filling out the online forms.
The 40th edition of the SET examination will be conducted across multiple centers in Maharashtra and Goa under the supervision of Pune University. Candidates must submit their applications by 13th March through the university’s official website. Those unable to meet the initial deadline will have an extended period from 14th March to 21st March to apply with a late fee.
Candidates are required to retain a copy of their application form for reference, though it does not need to be sent to the examination center or the SET department. The examination fee has been set at ₹800 for general category applicants and ₹650 for candidates from reserved categories.
Dr. Jyoti Bhakere, the university’s in-charge Registrar, advised students to complete the fee payment online. A list of students who have successfully paid their fees will be published on the university’s website in the second week of April. Additionally, the university has clarified that candidates who have already cleared the SET in a particular subject will not be eligible to reappear for the examination in the same subject.
