Wagholi, 12th March 2025: Residents of Ivy Estate in Wagholi are grappling with a severe water contamination crisis, raising serious health concerns and prompting urgent calls for action. Despite repeated complaints to the authorities, no effective measures have been taken to resolve the issue, leaving the community in distress.

According to residents, the problem was first reported on March 3, but the situation has since worsened. “The water quality has deteriorated to an alarming level, making it completely unusable. It poses serious health risks to residents, yet no action has been taken,” they stated.

Video shared by residents highlights the extent of contamination, showing visibly impure water that residents are forced to deal with. Many households are left with no option but to purchase bottled water or rely on alternative sources, adding to their financial burden.

Frustrated by the inaction of concerned authorities, the residents are now seeking media intervention to amplify their grievances. They urge immediate intervention to ensure clean and safe drinking water is restored.

The issue of water contamination in Wagholi has been a recurring concern, with rapid urbanization often outpacing infrastructure development. The affected residents demand accountability and swift resolution from the local governing bodies.
