Pune: Sex Racket Busted At Massage Parlour In Baner, Eight Women Rescued
Baner, 9th September 2021: The sleuths from the social security cell (SSC) of Pune City Police Crime Branch on Wednesday busted a prostitution racket at Kanak Spa near Balewadi Phata and rescued eight women.
Police have nabbed a 45-year-old woman (owner) from Kalewadi and Nikit Motilal Agarwal (24) of Nigdi Pradhikaran. An FIR has been registered against them at Chatushringi police station for offences under relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.
According to police, Kanak Spa was operating from Suryaprakash Bungalow. The accused had lured the women from economically weaker sections of society. Under the pretext of a massage, they were forced into prostitution.
After getting information, police sent a decoy customer who verified the sex racket at the place and a raid was conducted around 4 pm on Wednesday. Police rescued eight women aged 23-35 years.
