Pune Police Issue Look Out Circular Against BJP Leader Nitesh Narayan Rane And His Mother

Pune, 9th September 2021: The Pune City Police on September 3 issued Look Out Circular against BJP leader Nitesh Narayan Rane and his mother Neelam Narayan Rane in a loan-related case in the DHFL matter. They have Rs 61 crore pending in two different cases

Look out circular (LOC) is a circular letter used by authorities to check whether a traveling person is wanted by the police. It may be used at immigration checks international airports or sea ports.

According to Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil, DHFL had complained to the central government which sent a letter to the state government to take action. Accordingly, action is being taken.

In a letter to Assistant Director of the Bureau of Immigration (BOI) at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Mumbai International Airport, Pune Police’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shrinivas Ghadge to open LOC.

“Whenever the said Co-Borrower intercepted at Airport please inform his arrival and departure at airport to Crime Branch”, the letter states.

According to police, M/s Artline Properties Pvt. Ltd.(Borrower) has availed foam of Rs 25 crore from Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd. And Mrs. Nilam Narayan Rane was Co-borrower to the loan account which has been classified as NPA in accordance with directives and guidelines issued by National Housing Bank/ RBI. As a result, Rs 27.13 crore is outstanding in the loan account.

“In the aforesaid circumstances there is an apprehension and fear that the said Co-Borrower may leave the country, any time with a malafide intension to evade repayment of the loan granted by DHFL and escape the legal actions that may be taken against him (civil/criminal) by DHFL. To open the LOC of the Co-Borrower is necessary so that Co-borrower’s travel history should be maintained and evasion of repayment of the /loan availed from DHFL should be avoided”, the letter further states.

According to officials, Rs 34 crore is pending against Nitesh Rane.
