Sadashiv Peth, 1st September 2025: The historic Shanipar Mandal Trust, established in 1892, has completed 133 years of Ganeshotsav celebrations. This year, the mandal has unveiled a stunning eco-friendly Underwater Dwarka theme, which has quickly emerged as one of the city’s major attractions.
Speaking about the significance of this year’s theme, Sameer Gaikwad, President of Shanipar Mandal Trust, said: “We have completed 132 successful years, and this year marks the 133rd celebration of our mandal. For 2025, we created the Underwater Dwarka theme using advanced technology. The concept is designed entirely with eco-friendly materials, and Ganesh devotees are loving it, with huge crowds visiting every day.”
The Underwater Dwarka theme brings the holy city of Dwarka closer to those unable to visit in person. Using modern artistic techniques and innovative technology, the mandal has recreated the submerged city, seamlessly blending mythology, creativity, and sustainability.
Eco-friendliness has been central to this year’s decoration. All materials used in the setup are sustainable, reflecting the mandal’s commitment to devotion while promoting environmental responsibility.
The unique theme has drawn massive crowds, establishing Shanipar Mandal as one of the most talked-about Ganeshotsav attractions in Pune this year. Devotees have praised the innovative fusion of traditional devotion with modern presentation, making the experience both spiritual and visually captivating.
With its deep cultural roots and forward-thinking approach, Shanipar Mandal continues to uphold its legacy as one of Pune’s most celebrated Ganeshotsav organizers.
