Pune: Sharad Pawar Loses His Cool Over Question About Grandnephew Jay Pawar’s Engagement
Baramati, 15th March 2025: At a press conference in Baramati, Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) Chief and veteran politician Sharad Pawar became visibly agitated when asked about attending the engagement of his grand nephew, Jay Pawar, the son of his rebel nephew Ajit Pawar. “What kind of question is this? Please maintain some decorum in what you ask,” Pawar retorted, expressing his displeasure at the inquiry.
During the interaction, Pawar discussed various state issues, including the current situation in Beed district, where he emphasized the need for strict policies against those who disrupt law and order. However, his ire was raised when a journalist asked if he would attend Jay Pawar’s engagement, prompting Pawar to rebuke the question as inappropriate.
Pawar also addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the “Malhar” and “Jhatka” issues, which have received support from the Jejuri temple trustees. He dismissed these as non-national issues, suggesting that the state faces more pressing concerns.
